Emerson Valve Assembler Lead in Aiken, South Carolina
Responsible for the operation of a section within the Assembly area, supporting the Supervisor with the day-to-day activities of a production area, overseeing a group of people to ensue all safety practices and policies are being followed. Coordinate workloads, providing leadership and support to the team to ensure the quality of the product is too standard and that production goals are meet.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Ensure the safe practice and all safety standards are met to achieve the safety culture we are striving for
Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools
Ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet quality standards
Ensure that team members follow Assembly / Test procedures
Ensure the team is aware of day-to-day production goals and job responsibilities
Always ensure full adherence to 5S practices
Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly
Ensure all records and scans are completed
Ensure that non-conforming (blue tag) material process is followed
Ensure material control transactions are complete, scrap / material return
Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency
Promote continuous improvement and development
Perform root cause analysis to resolve product issues
Responsible for training of assemblers within your area
Provide technical expertise to the team and respond to assembly / test / material issues
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
Review and update training matrices
Enhance, empower, and build self-esteem of team members
WHO YOU ARE:
You will relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You will separate and combine work activities into efficient work flow.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of assembly, test, experience
Blueprint Reading course or equivalent.
Exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals
Work independently, reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time
Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
