Emerson Accounts Payable T&E Team Leader with English in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

The AP (Travel & Expense) Team Leader will be responsible for handling and supervising the Travel & Expense team workload, ensuring quality standards are upheld, SLAs are met, and tasks are prioritized appropriately.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Operational Tasks:

  • Supporting daily/weekly/monthly routines within the team

  • Ensures that knowledge of team members is up-to-date and appropriate for the tasks being undertaken, plus identifying training needs and addressing these as appropriate Support in the creation and delivery of ongoing training for staff, both within own team and within the wider business

  • Acts as first point of escalation within team for queries and/or to resolve issues; Investigates and coordinates with relevant parties on resolution of outstanding items

  • Management and oversight of team workload, including ensuring quality standards are upheld, SLAs are met, and tasks are prioritized appropriately

  • Provides regular/ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

  • Identifies the root cause of problems; identifies and implements solutions to these. Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability for the team.

  • Contributes to the improvement of processes by providing ideas, feedback and drives implementation

  • Uses critical thinking to provide efficient solutions to problems impacting the team

  • Ensures regular communications with Finance/HR departments

  • Update process documentation.

  • Contribute to process improvements and drive implementation of ideas and feedback.

Administrative tasks:

  • Set performance objectives, supervise individual and team performance, and provide coaching and mentoring.

  • Lead performance evaluations, identify progress and opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead or participate in recruitment processes.

  • Check and approve absence/travel forms and validate monthly timecards.

  • Work closely with other Team Leaders to share knowledge and ensure efficient communication and operation of the Accounts Payable team.

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance

  • Previous experience of 5 years in a similar role in a multinational company

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), other foreign languages would be a plus

  • PC experience (Microsoft Office);

  • Experience working with Oracle and/or SAP and expense submission dedicated systems
