Emerson CNC Machining Engineer CAD/CAM in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this Role, your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with project teams to develop, for a given solution, standard methodologies for design and code review, implementation and testing;

  • Prepare the machining technologies for the items required as per the internal production orders;

  • Preparing the vital documentation for production (mounting devices, the list of vital tools, the list of technological operations, etc.);

  • Preparing the numerical programs for the units that will be machined;

  • Taking part in the preparation of the manufacturing cycle (machine setup, First Article run);

  • Carrying out, together with the CNC operator, the machining process for the required units in accordance with the issued numerical programs;

  • Crafting, editing and saving, as per the given work instructions, the CNC programs and process documentation, needed for the machining process, making sure they meet the required efficient performances;

  • Performing dimensional and quality checks on the units after the process is completed, making sure that there are in accordance with the execution drawings;

  • Transferring the final technological process with all updated documents to the CNC operator;

  • Keeping up-to-date with the new machining processes and recommending improvement methods for the machined units;

  • Evaluating, crafting and continually improving the fabrication processes and methods;

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;

  • Experience in turning, milling, drilling technologies;

  • Experience in CNC programming;

  • Good knowledge of operating CNC machine tools;

  • Experience in mechanical design;

  • Knowledge in dimensional checking of the machined units / guide user of measuring devices;

  • Interpersonal, communication and team-working skills;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Solid understanding of technical drawing, dimensional and geometrical tolerances;

  • Good knowledge of tools and devices used in machining technologies;

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on several projects at the same time;

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Products.
