Emerson Senior Business and Strategy Analyst (24 months) in CLUJ, Romania

Based in Cluj Napoca, Romania, the Senior Business & Strategy Analyst is a high-potential role with significant visibility within the company and serves as a steppingstone for future career growth. This role falls within the European strategic planning team and supports two main collaborators. First, the President of Europe is supported with business analysis, and critical initiatives to improve decision-making within the World Area Global Sales Europe. Second, the Vice President of Commercial Excellence is supported by driving and project managing strategic programs across Europe together with the commercial excellence team, thereby continuously improving the Emerson sales organization.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Build competitive assessments for Europe, regions, and countries based on the latest market data, trends, and sales reports.

  • Support the development of historical performance metrics and future growth strategies to inform the CEO's office of European business progress.

  • Manage the collection and assessment of European data for all cornerstones of general management (finance, HR, markets, etc.) to deliver business insights and periodic reports.

  • Facilitate and continuously improve high-level executive meetings for the entire European leadership team monthly.

  • Liaise closely with Finance, Strategic Planners, and BU Business Analysts in extracting and consolidating sales and bookings information in preparation for European reporting to key decision-makers.

  • Act as a strategic planner for the European key initiatives, Commercial Excellence:

  • Develop and roll out long-term strategies and best practices across Europe.

  • Build and maintain critical metrics for the program together with the VP of Commercial Excellence.

  • Drive implementation across stakeholders across the organization.

  • Support ad-hoc requests enabling the success of the European organization (e.g., major marketing events such as Emerson Exchange).

  • Drive growth and excellence throughout Europe by proactively contributing to and driving alignments between all management functions, countries, and relevant initiatives.

You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions!

In this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of relevant proven experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or finance analyst role.

  • Strong aim to get things done, well-structured, with confirmed project management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with high skills in PowerPoint and Excel required.

  • Comfort working with, and expanding knowledge in, Business Intelligence Tools (e.g., Power BI, CRM, Oracle).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Intrinsic motivation for continuous personal development and knowledge upskilling in various general management core topics (HR, Finance, Strategy, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience, with quantitative fields such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering being advantageous.

  • Strong analytical skills for quantitative problem-solving, paired with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and adapt to changing environments.

  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate information, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions.
