Emerson Quality Manager in Liege, Belgium

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to join our team at Emerson (Verviers). As the Quality Manager for our Verviers site, you will provide flexible, responsive, and customer-focused quality assurance services that will contribute to the business strategy and drive the change management agenda. Lastly, as the leader of the quality team, they spearhead efforts to achieve quality objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Internal Quality System

  • Ensure the plant's quality management system complies with required standards and customer quality requirements, including processes, documentation, and records.

  • Develop and update Quality Management System work instructions in alignment with global standards.

  • Actively participate in management reviews and ensure closure of review actions.

  • Participate in ISO 9001 activities such as certification/surveillance audits, awareness programs, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure integration of processes, procedures, work instructions, records, and templates into day-to-day business operations.

  • Identify and lead projects to achieve improvements in quality and cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and other functions to support and lead quality improvements, including supplier quality and customer happiness.

  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring accurate investigation of findings, implementation of corrections and corrective actions, and timely closure of findings.

  • Use information from audits and processes to identify systematic quality issues and develop plans to address root causes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive projects to achieve measurable improvements in cost efficiency related to quality.

  • Supervise quality assurance/quality control concerns raised by clients or production, ensuring proper investigation and implementation of corrective actions until satisfactory closure.

Who You Are:

You will act as the guardian of quality whilst supporting broader quality projects and business transformation initiatives. You set stretch goals and objectives, pushing individuals or teams to perform at higher levels. You actively seek input from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum degree in Engineering, business or other field or equivalent experience in quality management (minimum of 3-5 years)

  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Standard and Certifications, and of QC system (Metrology, tools experience)

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to understand technical specifications

  • Experience building automation systems and solutions
