Emerson Director Finance in MÖLNLYCKE, Sweden

We are now looking for a Director Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations of Rosemount Tank Radar and be responsible for the long-term financial health and growth of the company. The main objective is to transform Finance from accounting to a business partner with focus on profitability, financial business analysis and process efficiency.

As Director Finance you report to the VP and General Manager of the Business area Level within Emerson who is also the Managing Director Rosemount Tank Radar. The Director Finance is the leader of a FP&A and accounting team with 7 ambitious co-workers in Göteborg and member of the management team. You will be part of a great global network of financial professionals within the Emerson group.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

We expect the Director Finance to establish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency. In this role, it is anticipated that the Director Finance will play a meaningful role in setting the strategic plan and providing financial partnership to achieve the desired results. You will be a key player in developing the role of Finance to a valued business partner to the organisation.

  • Ensure timely submission, accuracy, consistency and integrity of financial data

  • Monthly closing activities

  • Communicating quarterly risk/upside to relevant stake holders

  • Control cash flows incl inventory Capital expenditure (CAPEX)

  • Engaging leadership to develop the RTR Finance team

  • Profit review process

  • Sales & Operation Planning process

  • Financial Business partner

  • Create a winning strategy to support the commercial growth plan

  • Actively participating in the global and local order & sales operational reviews

  • Partnering with the Global organization on delivering maximum value creation for the business

  • Drive the development of business intelligence tools, analytics and automation for real time business insights

  • Analyze the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and propose corrective actions

  • Responsibility of Statutory Accounts and Statutory reporting incl statutory audits

  • Responsible for compliance with local statutory accounting, tax and legal rules as well as US GAAP, SOX and Emerson’s Corporate Policies and Procedures

Other important personal characteristics for this role are structure, accountability and a strategic approach combined with an interest in operational matters. You have a strong drive for continuous improvement and the ability to inspire change.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Professional skills that cover critical metrics in the manufacturing industry, accounting, FP & A, business control, legal, ERP-, IT- and BI-systems.

  • Management experience and a genuine interest for leadership is required.

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Business Administration is necessary.

  • Familiarity with the Swedish/European legal and financial landscape is important, along with fluency in English and preferably Swedish.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Proven experience in finance from large international industrial companies, and preferably working experience from US companies.
