Emerson Outside Sales Engineer in SEREGNO, Italy

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all sales activities of designated customers in Life Science and Fine Chemicals industries, covering Northern Italy to achieve the agreed sales, bookings, strategic targets for the designated product lines and services. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities as well.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identifying the market requirements and specifics, developing and implementing the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability in the agreed installed base customers

  • Actively visiting existing and prospective customers to promote the assigned product lines, entire product portfolio and services.

  • Negotiating with customer relevant Business Contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority – including discount, price and volume structures

  • Improving both “face-to-face” and other communication possibilities (telephone, e-mail, webinars etc.)

  • Driving sales and proposal strategies with the sales support organization (local and international)

  • Maintaining a project opportunity list for the assigned sales area in the associated tools (CRM) and continuously develop high level of products and technologies knowledge required to perform the job

  • Observing the “Business Ethics” stipulated by Emerson

  • Ensuring that all transactions are accurately screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and bring up any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High school diploma

  • Strong technical background in process automation

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in sales related roles within the process industry and automation projects

  • Proficiency in Italian and English in language (verbal, written)

  • Willingness to travel in the region and international (more than 50% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • In-depth knowledge of Life Science and Fine Chemicals industries and batch processes in general

  • Ability to work within a sophisticated matrix organization and collaborate across business units

  • Engineering degree or any other technical related fields of study
