Emerson Manager Mechanical Engineering in STAVANGER, Norway
The Manager Mechanical Design is responsible for leading mechanical engineering activities in Roxar division, coordinating all common processes and tools as well as continuously developing the Mechanical Design team's competencies and capability.
The Manager Mechanical Engineering will develop technology strategies for mechanical engineering. They will explore new technologies, materials, and methods to improve products and decrease expenses.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead and develop the Mechanical Engineering team, fostering innovation and creating technology strategies
Maintain and update processes, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring high-quality output from NPD projects and support activities
Driving continuous improvement, staying updated on engineering standards, and aligning department activities with company priorities
Optimizing resource utilization and planning, participating in design reviews, contribute to design work, and build relationships with internal and external experts.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Field
Proven track record of 10 years in mechanical design related to product development
Proficiency in English language
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience in design for downhole and subsea oil and gas instrumentation
Experience in working with ERP systems
