Emerson Supplier Performance Specialist in SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR, Hungary

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

This position will be part of the Flow Controls business unit Non-Nuclear organization working within the European Global Supply Chain and supports the following programs:

Improve/ sustain OTD performance, Lead-Time reduction, Cost reduction, Risks Mitigation Management, Supply Chain operation processes.

This person will work closely with Commodity managers, other World areas’ SPEs (supplier performance engineers), Site Buyers, Material managers and Quality team.

  • Implement Supplier Performance Strategy to achieve business objectives for Quality, Speed, OTD and Flexibility. Actively engaged in building and improving supplier’s performance

  • Lead existing suppliers to improve their abilities to meet On-Time Delivery, monitor key performance indicators, find opportunities, create route cause analyses and implement and follow-up action plans to drive improved performance

  • Own the reduction lead time program (by proposing stocking program implementation, late customization, minimum batch quantity, production line optimizations, supplier operation process improvements…),

  • Support the new suppliers to Emerson practices according risk mitigation tool

  • Ensure close co-operation with Global SPE and manufacturing sites in Europe

  • Ensure control plans are implemented at supplier or at Emerson manufacturing sites to sustain performance improvements

  • Ensure Ongoing Monitoring & Control Process on suppliers’ performances

  • Establish expectations and communicate performance standards

  • Lead lean workout and Kaizen event at suppliers, resolve gaps and action items to improve suppliers’ performance

  • Assist the commodity manager in preparing and participating in Quarterly Business Review with key suppliers

  • Take appropriate actions when progress to goals are not met

  • Lead cross-functional, cross-facility projects to improve supply chain performance

  • Work systematically and expertly in a well documented manner in accordance with the company rules and procedures including adherence to trade compliance (export / import and supply chain security) regulations entirely.

  • Must be very capable of leading direction supplier improvement projects that is consistent with the Department / commodity manager’s commodity strategy. Must be self sufficient and require little, if any, direct supervision or guidance.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Languages – Fluent in English

  • College/University

  • Items management & material flow, purchasing and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationship with suppliers and internal customers.

  • 5 years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Continuous Improvement, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality Assurance, Production Engineering, Project procurement / Commodity management

  • A good team player with a passion for excellence and driving improvements. Customer focused and has a sense of urgency to resolve issues timely and effectively.

  • Strong analyses level.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

Strong project management skill, Perfect Execution, Lean experience. Good Fisher/ Steam product knowledge. Good communication skills, German or French language skills could be a plus. Six Sigma black belt certificate and problem solving tools knowledge are an advantage.
